What information does Goodwyn IRB gather about me and how is it used?

Goodwyn IRB gathers information used to process an IRB review application, to provide support or service, and to assist in the resolution or diagnosis of system questions or problems. We will ask you when we need information about you or your organization or allows us to contact you. Generally, this information is requested when you are registering for information or submitting an application or report for IRB review. Whenever information is requested, the user may decide not to provide it. The information you provide will not be shared with any third party outside of Goodwyn IRB, unless the provision of such information is required in order to process your application or report, or is required by law.

Goodwyn IRB collects certain information about your computer hardware and software. This information may include: your IP address, browser type, operating system, domain name, access times and referring Web site addresses. This information is used for the operation of our web service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of GoodwynIRB.com.

Goodwyn IRB also collects information about which pages our customers visit within GoodwynIRB.com. This site visitation data is identified only by a unique ID number, and it is never linked with personal information. No attempts are made to identify individual users or their usage habits.

What security monitoring is performed?

For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all accessible users, Goodwyn IRB utilizes software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage to our web servers / hosted servers.

Goodwyn IRB web servers / hosted servers may be monitored for all lawful purposes, including to ensure that their use is authorized, for management of the system, to facilitate protection against unauthorized access, and to verify security procedures, survivability and operational security.

Does Goodwyn IRB link to other sites?

The Goodwyn IRB web site links to other sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy and security practices of other sites. We encourage our guests to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy and security statements of each and every web site. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by the Goodwyn IRB web site.
